ABOUT
Caroline creates handcrafted home decor using mixed media such as resin, acrylic, alcohol ink, oil pastels, graphite, and textured mediums.
She specializes in wall art, ocean resin tables, and charcuterie boards.
She also works with deep-pour epoxy to create gorgeous dried flower side tables with flowers encased in resin.
Creativity is what makes me tick.
I have been an actor, writer, photographer and artist my whole life.
My background as an actor is very much present in my work and I like to elicit an emotional response from my pieces.
My goal is to create art that makes you feel a myriad of emotions.
Joy, Sadness, Self reflection.
The pieces should feel electric. Like you're moving through time.
You will notice a lot of water inspired art in my designs.
Water is my happy place and I am constantly inspired by it.
Oceans. Rain. Clean. Fresh.
Water brings me peace and clarity.
Oceans. Rain. Clean. Fresh.
Water brings me peace and clarity.
I have lived in may different cities and always made sure I was near water in each one.
I got married by the ocean in the Mayan Riviera, lived near the Hudson river in NYC, by the Bay in San Francisco and the Pacific Ocean in Santa Monica and now reside in the beaches in Toronto.
BIOGRAPHY
Caroline is a self taught artist who grew up in Richmond Hill, a suburb north of Toronto.
The daughter of a realistic acrylic artist and Interior Designer, she was always around art, color & design.
She grew to love photography and built her own darkroom with her summer earnings in her parents basement at the age of 16.
Photography and acting became her passion and she was accepted into the renowned photography program at Humber College, but ultimately went on to study Acting at the prestigious Ryerson Theatre school graduating with her honors BFA in theatre-performance.
She went on to work as a professional actor and photographer in NYC, SF, LA and Toronto.
She photographed headshots and weddings with Jinsey Dauk Photography in NYC and started her own company, Caroline Lesley Photography, doing headshots and family photography when she moved to California.
Caroline found resin art in the pandemic and the sticky substance provided a release that she desperately needed.
She found herself down in her basement studio night after night creating beautiful coasters.
Demand soared for her new creations and Too Much Lush was born.
Coasters soon became cheese boards, trays, charcuterie boards, jewelry, keychains, and eventually coffee tables, side tables and wall art.
She has been busy creating home decor and wall art ever since.
Caroline expanded and works with many different mediums including resin, alcohol ink, acrylic, jesmonite, oil pastels, graphite and textured mediums.
Caroline is always learning and expanding her skill set.

She spends a lot of time learning about different tools, mediums, and art supplies. Caroline spent years perfecting how pigments work, and how heat or angles affect the resin.
There is a lot of science involved in her art, and she makes sure that timing and temperature are at optimal settings.
